Burney Falls is one of the most well known waterfalls in California, and probably the most photographed one outside of Yosemite Valley. It was more of a “secret” before the Instagram era, and it’s in a pretty remote area that I had the luxury of driving by pretty often for many years. In all of those visits, I had never really put any time into getting a good photo of it with the right equipment. This visit in 2023 was my first time packing a tripod and ND filter down to the falls to try to get a decent shot.
