This is a small reservoir not far from Susanville, CA. The mountains visible here include Diamond Mountain just outside of town. I was really hoping for calm, reflective water when I went out to take this shot at 4:00am. I got very lucky and captured this image just before the morning breeze started blowing, disturbing the surface of the water. This is another treasured image, as it was captured before the Sheep Fire of 2020 burned through the area.
