Sometimes, you don’t say the name of the lake. “Discovering” a place like this is incredibly fun and rewarding. Having a little slice of the Sierra all to yourself for a couple days is one of the greatest gifts this part of the country has to give. This is a lake we found on a map, backpacked in to, and enjoyed, like many others have before us. If you want to experience it, you’re going to have to find it for yourself. That is my fly line in the water… I took a quick break from catching brook trout to snap this panorama.
