This was a rare for me close-up photo of an eagle from solid ground and not from my kayak. I usually photograph them from the water, but in this case, I saw it in a tree and pulled up on shore to wait for it to take off. It made an attempt at a fish, flying very close by in front of me on the way. The end result was a miss… the fish swam too deep at the last second, it will never know now lucky it was. This is the same moment as the the photo called “Bad Day to be a Fish.”
