The bald eagles of Antelope Lake in Plumas County CA are one of my favorite photo subjects. I have spent a lot of time chasing photos of the two pairs of eagles that live there. In spite of spending countless hours in my kayak watching these birds, I have only had the opportunity to photograph the moment of plucking a fish out of the water a couple times. This was a very sweet moment, and I’m very glad I didn’t blow the focus or crop off a wing!
