I spent around three weeks getting nightly footage of this bobcat on trail cameras as it worked on consuming a deer carcass that we both found (Yes, the same deer carcass that was the subject of my image “Full Circle,” which was awarded by the Wildlife Photographer of the Year jury in 2024). I spent many cold mornings in a photo blind waiting for daylight and a chance at a photo, but all I was ever treated to were tracks like this
